RadioTelevision 21 is a progressive multimedia organization whose mission is to create social change in Kosova using 21st century information resources and technology, including radio, television, electronic media and new education resources for journalists and technical experts in Kosova. As the first indigenous, independent, private Albanian-language media producer in the capital city of Prishtina, RTV brings fresh perspectives of journalistic balance, accuracy, fairness, and audience participation in a hybrid combination of public interest and commercial broadcast media serving 80% of the Kosovar population. KohaVision represents an outcome of beliefs and ideas of the people embarked on the challenging task that a powerful approach to public opinion through visualized reporting, raising issues of social concern, triggering (initiating) debates on crucial decisions awaiting Kosovar society in the region as a whole, continue to remain an ultimate necessity for evolving today’s political peace, social tranquility and regional cooperation.

Media Company “Koha” was founded in 1990 as a basis for numerous projects regarding advancement of journalism, broadening the information space in Kosova and the development of contemporary approach to reporting – attempting to promote independent views and unbiased journalism.

As part of “Koha” company, KohaVision was established in 2000 with the aim to provide a range of programming with the primary purpose being to broadcast news, information, education and entertainment on a wide variety of issues dedicated to the entire Kosovar audience. Today, with only three years of broadcasting experience, KohaVision broadcasts daily 20 hours of program.

KohaVision’s programming concentrates on the following issues: general news and information; information on public services and security; information on and access to governmental institutions presented in a transparent and balanced manner; culture, art, music, theater and experimental media, both Kosovar and international; civil society development and promotion of the non-governmental sector; sports; film; and utilization of electronic and print media as a tool to highlight issues of relevant importance.

Radio Dukagjini

 
Top Iliria Radio started its activity on the 14th of February 2001, after receiving its license from the Temporary Media Commission in Prishtina.

TIR facilities are located in Deçan, in the Cultural House, where it has transmission and production studios.

TIR staff comprised 21 employees: 5 journalists, 3 correspondents, 2 moderators, 4 operational technicians and the other.

TIR 90.8 MHz FM covers 65 % of Kosovo territory and North Albania, and now via Satellite all Europe.

In the near future TIR will synchronize foreign movies in Albanian language.

Radio Dukagjini is a segment of the DUKAGJINI corporate which had began regular transmission from 16.09.1999 as a Local Radio Transmitter and was licensed as the National Radio from December 2000. Radio Dukagjini is a private commercial radio with 24 hours program per day in Albanian language. Program is produced and transmitted from both studios, of which one is in Peja and the other one in Prishtina. The program is produces by 22 employees supported by 4 reporters from Brussels, Tirana Skopje and Ulqin.

The transmition is in the following frequencies :
104,7 MHz, 99,7MHZ, 94,5MHz and 92,7MHz.

There is a microwave link between Peja and Prishtina, where the main studio is in Peja.
